Starting in September 2014 I started offering free downloadable desktop wallpaper calendars of my artwork. December's photo actually comes from a little snow boarding adventure we had in the Italian Alps. Near the city of Cortina, Italy lies the slopes of ski-able mountains that are beautiful and enjoyed by many skiers and snowboarders alike.
This part of the mountains are so beautiful and just go on and on. The winter snow just gives them this magnificent crisp and awe-inspiring quality to them. On a nice sunny day like the one pictured here, we could just see for miles and miles of […]
This fall I am offering free downloadable desktop wallpaper calendars of my artwork. November's photo is from my travels here in Germany. It was from a recent visit to castle in the Moselle River area in central Germany. Burg Eltz is an amazing German castle. It is beautiful and well preserved. One of it's most fascinating facts is that it is still owned by the family that built it.
This castle trip was truly entertaining. There was a beautiful hike through the autumn trees that opens up to the view pictured in this photo. What a beautiful sight to see after […]
Look Up at Marksburg Castle
One of things I love about traveling around Germany is visiting all the castles. I call it "castle hunting". I am determined to see as many castles as I can while I am here in Germany. After doing some research, I found Marksburg Castle on list to visit not too far from Frankfurt. I found their website and planned out a day trip with a friend. This amazing castle was very worth the visit.
Autumn Leaves At Marksburg
The town was one of those charming little German towns that was fun to drive through and explore. […]
This fall I am offering free downloadable desktop wallpaper calendars of my artwork. October's photo is from my Italian Travels collection. Photographed in San Marino; this small country inside of the Italian countryside boasts three castle towers atop it's beautiful hills. Not only are these castle tower hills beautiful but they are stunning with the autumn leaves.
San Marino was a fascinating place for me to explore. The idea that an entire country is not much bigger than a city and fits inside of another country was intriguing to say the least. Not far from the popular beaches of Rimini, Italy, […]
A little while ago a fellow photographer friend of mine showed me how fun macro photography can be. She showed me some tips on how I can really have some fun with it. So as I have been traveling around and out and about with my camera, I have been exploring macro photography with several subjects. It has been fun exploring the world around me in this different light.
Macro Pink Flower
I have really grown to love this type of photography. It gives me a way to focus on details and create new images out ordinary subjects that can […]

I absolutely love taking night photos. I love going out to little night excursions with friends to find interesting places to take photos after dark, it is the whole reason I have taken my tripod on trips with me. I have taken night photos in Rome, Paris, Venice, little villages nobody has heard of, and even just of cars to get their headlight trails. It something I consider so much fun! So here is some instructions to improve your night photos. If you have any questions feel free to message me!

Grand Canal at Night
The first time I arrived in Venice after hopping off the train and walking down the steps outside the train station, I was in awe of this beautiful city. It was love at first sight. My husband was right there falling in love with it as well. As you can imagine I took a lot of photos that first trip. We spent the whole day there, walking through the streets, crossing the bridges, enjoying gelato, and a score of other things we enjoyed there.
After living in northeast Italy for four years, I had many travel […]
The Pillars of Stonehenge
My whole life I have been fascinated by ancient cultures and what is still standing after all this time. So when I traveled to London for the first time I was super excited that Stonehenge wasn't too far away. Unfortunately, we just happened to be there during an unusual cold front and it ended up snowing all over the United Kingdom making a journey to the English countryside nearly impossible. Even though I was unable to visit it then that trip, it planted and even larger desire to come back and make the venture out to Stonehenge […]
Starting this fall I will be offering free downloadable desktop wallpaper calendars of my artwork. September's photo is from my Italian Travels collection. Photographed in Florence, Italy, this is one of my favorite Italian views. Finding the lookout point was a bit of an adventure. Traffic in Florence can be a little scary if you are unfamiliar with Italian drivers in a city setting.
As we came to the top of the hill, this view caught my eye and would not let go. I fell in love with this vantage point of Florence and had to come and photograph it […]
I love summers in Europe, there are local festivals all summer long celebrating anything and everything. I had the chance to attend a small Renaissance festival on a small lake here in Germany. They had booths full of wine, beer, food, and hand crafts, there was even a message booth. It was a great chance to try some local food and homemade wine products. You even had the chance to buy some ceramic mugs and wine cups.
People were dressed up in costume and they had entertainment in the form of fire dancers and fire spitters. The fire performers were my […]
