My name is Carrie (Hill) Duarte. Growing up in Utah gave me the opportunity to appreciate the wonderful landscapes nature has to offer. I’ve always been interested in art and taking pictures. When I was studying at university, I realized my passion for photography so I made it my focus.
Since 2004 I started taking my photography seriously and began working for friends and family members on various projects. After gaining experience in different aspects of photography I started branching out to a more diverse group of patrons.
With each passing year, I became more interested in the art of photography and worked developing my artistry. Influenced by many professors and other artists’s work, I expanded both my creative scope and my photographic eye.
In May 2009 I graduated from Weber State University located in Ogden, Utah with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Photography.
In September 2009 I married and shortly after we moved to Northern Italy. I enjoyed attending and working with the local photography club and did many volunteer projects with them. I recently worked out of the Ramstein, Germany area and now located in the Belleville, Illinois area enjoy exploring it artistically and through my lens.
I photograph for all occasions. I have experience in fine art, still life, tableau, abstract, portraiture, boudoir, wedding photography, outdoor photography, studio work, and event photography. I have worked with models of different levels. My skills involve proficiency in Photoshop from photo retouching to graphic design.
