Today’s photography tip is about watching out for reflections.
When you are out and about photographing we tend to get really involved in the subject and sometimes forget to watch out for smaller details. Reflections tend to be some of those details in a photo shoot that can get forgotten about. Whether you might be accidentally getting another person or animal in your shot that you didn’t want or even getting yourself, you need to check for those reflections while you are photographing. Sure these things sometimes can be edited out but it is always nicer and a time saver to get it right in camera first.
In this photo, at first, I thought it was great and didn’t see any thing wrong with it but I reviewed my image while shooting and noticed that I was in the reflection.
So I changed the angle and the position of the subject just a little bit and I was able to get rid of my problem in the matter of a minute or two. The new photo came out great and I didn’t even have to photoshop myself out!
So look at those reflective surfaces (water, windows, glass, anything shiny) and make sure there is nothing there that is undesirable!
