Instagram: Trying New Things

So we are in a world where the internet is part of our everyday life. Since this is the case, it also means social media is part of our everyday lives as well. I have delved deeply into Facebook, swam into Flickr, and tiptoed into Twitter. My newest social media dive is into Instagram. I was one of those people who scoffed at everyone’s pseudo antiqued photos with added filters of relatively boring subjects. So from that one can assume that I was not interested in it at all. Well now that it has come out of it’s infancy and a bit more mainstream, I have seen less of that and more interesting uses. With the encouragement of a friend I decided to start an Instagram account.

Not being in my teen years anymore, I was unsure where to start. After reading a friend’s blog post about noticing the little details that other people might not see (clearly this is a common artist trait), I decided was going to begin my Instagram feed with a mobile phone photo camera series of #LittleDetails. So when I travel I take my little detail photos in the places I have and will go. I started on a recent trip to Munich, Salzburg, and Italy.
